Perfect Service and Back on Track
Trains not only provide maximum safety for the passengers, but also feature robust technology in order to withstand the toughest weather conditions. As the original equipment manufacturer, Bosch Rexroth manages the overhaul inspection of all hydraulic systems built into the 17 “Integral” Diesel trains of the Bayerische Oberlandbahn (BOB). Wear items are replaced and all essential components thoroughly serviced or updated – the entire process does not take longer than six weeks per train.
Bayerische Oberlandbahn (BOB) operates the picturesque, 120 km long railroad between Munich, Holzkirchen, Bayrischzell, Tegernsee, and Lenggries in Germany. The 17 Diesel trains of the “Integral” series were put into service in the early 1990s. They are currently undergoing their second overhaul inspection at the railway maintenance depot Lenggries. One train after another is disassembled into its individual parts. The hydraulic components are transferred to the Bosch Rexroth Service Center in Pasching for maintenance. They include the air-suspended, hydraulically adjustable wheel sets and the two ram cylinders, which are designed to absorb the buffer impact in case of a crash.
