Hydraulic Flywheel HFW

Efficient drive concept for energy recuperation

Severe emission regulations require above a certain performance class of mobile working machines, diesel engines to be equipped with additional exhaust gas after-treatment systems.

The Hydraulic Flywheel HFW drive concept, developed from Bosch Rexroth, is able to store the kinetic energy as well as surplus energy in situations when the combustion engine is only partly loaded. Later, the stored energy can be used to support the diesel engine in times of higher performance requirements.
